It was my pleasure this week, in the first of the Humanity Healing Network interviews to speak with a truly wonderful and outstanding author, artist, metaphysician and spiritual teacher, Lauren Zimmerman. Lauren is the author of the semi-fictional 'Other Worlds: The Series' of which the first volume 'Called' was published in 2001.
'Called' has been highly acclaimed and is regarded by many as a significant contribution to metaphysical literature - often being likened to 'The Celestine Prophecy' in its spiritual message of hope and transformation. Lauren is currently in the process of setting up her own publishing company to release all four titles in the series along with other works in progress.
In 1974, Lauren had a brush with death. When she returned, she was clairvoyant, clairaudient and clairsentient. Soon thereafter, she realized her mission in life was to share her experience so that others might lose their fear of death and take the first steps on their own path of personal and spiritual awakening. As a consequence of Lauren's commitment to this task she has gained a huge following around the world and has imparted much profound wisdom to many seekers after the Truth.
In this ground-breaking interview Lauren talks about her experience of dying and the consequent ability to travel between dimensions that lead her to many encounters with other-worldly beings and spiritual teachers. She talks candidly about God's plan, as revealed to her, of humanity's 1000 year time limit for us to awaken to our essential nature as 'Divine Soul' and what we may do on a personal level to realise this mission.
Lauren Zimmerman is a truly outstanding speaker and teacher with much to offer humanity in its search for an enlightened state of being. If you are a fan of her work or a committed seeker of the Truth, then you will find much food for thought in what she has to offer here. To listen to the interview please click here or on this post's title above, but first of all, why not read this wonderful little tale by Lauren (reprinted with permission) about life, the acceptance of life and of hope and aspiration. It is simply called 'The Rock - A Parable'...
Many blessings and much metta,
Steve
What, the rock thought in stunned amazement, is going on? I have thoughts I've never had before. I want … I want … I want to change myself! I don't want the water and the other rocks and the people and everything else to keep changing me! I want to change myself!
The rock was fairly stunned at its sudden changes and sat quietly marveling at all the things it was feeling. Because it was ancient and had lived forever in its own silence, even while the sounds of all of nature pounded around it, it had spent a great amount of time contemplating origins and creation and the possibility of the creator of all that it had seen. Everything was magnificent and vast. The rock knew that instinctively, even though its ability to move through all of creation freely was hampered by who and what it was. The night sky, that opened doors into vistas far beyond what the day sky allowed to be seen, proved to the rock that existence was vast and filled with possibilities. Because that was an obvious truth, the rock believed that the creator of all of existence had much, much more to reveal.
And on this morning, this crystal-light morning, the rock was astonished to find that it was no longer satisfied with being a rock.
I will talk to this creator, the rock decided. And this is what the rock said.
I would ask you to change the dents in my body, dear creator. I would like to take the pain of this great gash in my side away as well. I know you can help me do this because I see this vast existence and know that you are great and capable. I have sat along this shoreline for countless years, being pushed and pummeled by the whims of this water. It has changed my face with its daily pounding. I want you, dear creator, to change my face to something else. Make it something other than what it is.

When The Creator spoke, the rock realized with a shock that it never really expected an answer. It listened with awe to the voice that came from everywhere, including from within its own depths.
"I would change you. I would make your wishes come true. I would smooth your scars and remove you from the constant pummeling that you get from the always-moving water. But do you see that if I were to do these things, it would be only temporary? Your scars and your discomfort would simply return because you remain on the shores of this river.
"If you were removed from the shoreline, if you were taken from the circumstances that mold you, your opportunity to make your changes permanent would increase ten fold. But as long as you remain where you are, the touch of my healing would only last a moment."
That these words were all too true was obvious to the rock. What, the rock wondered, can I possibly do about this? I have no feet to walk with. I have no wings to fly. I have been anchored here for years and the chances of me suddenly landing elsewhere are slim indeed!
The realization, though it could have depressed him, did not. The vast panorama of existence caused the rock to have hope. Anything can happen, the rock thought.
The morning sun edged its way across the sky, making the day warmer as it moved. The shuffle of feet alerted the rock to the approach of someone and it settled its thoughts into acceptance. It would be used as a perch for a fisherman on this day, it imagined. The footsteps stopped nearby and as the minutes passed, the air seemed to change. It was almost as though this person's thoughts were altering the very air! The rock waited curiously, interested in this new feeling.
The person finally spoke, causing the rock to realize that there was someone else nearby as well. "This rock would be perfect for it, don't you think?"
The next voice was enthusiastic as it moved closer. "You're right! It would be. But how are we going to move that huge thing?"
"We'll figure a way," the first voice replied confidently.
Three weeks later, after a very tense and tumultuous time, the rock sat in a very different place. Soft, green grass cushioned it and each day the gentle spray of a sprinkler bathed it. Its face had been changed by a chisel and the hand of a man that the rock believed might have been The Creator in disguise.
The etching upon the stone's new face reads: "Think God."

Hi Steve,
I wanted to leave my thoughts on the excellent interview with Lauren Zimmerman. I listened to it and thought it was an excellent interview. The sound was good, the questions were wonderful. I am new to all of this in regards to Lightwork and Healing, but this interview provided a strong foundation for me to grow in understanding yet another dimension of life. I also found a bit of comfort with the loss of my mother. Although it was 18 years ago, I think of it as only yesterday sometimes. I never forget being in the room when she passed and for 18 years I always wondered what it was like for her. I cry as I write this, because now I feel it was an easy transition for her, and not painful like I imagined. I look forward to many more interviews, and embrace growing as a loving person whose passions and convictions lead to a better world for all.
peace,
Anna

Greetings to Steve and Lauren,
I just spent a joyous hour listening to the interview with Lauren. Steve, you are the best interviewer I have ever heard. I have known Lauren for years, have followed her work for years, and you are the first interviewer to make the interview about her work and message, and not about yourself. Bravo! This is also the first coverage of her work where a comprehensive and accessible outline of her teachings, and the principles behind them, has been achieved. Her work has done more to help me transform my experience in this lifetime for the better than any other and I am convinced that many others would feel the same way, if only her work could reach them. You have clearly opened a door to help others see a pathway to progress and healing and to move beyond the resistance that keeps so many frustrated. My congratulations and many thanks to you and to the others who are a part of this wonderful effort.
Blessings and God's peace to you all,
Catherine
Great job Lauren and Steve! I enjoyed it very much!
